Project Overview

This inner-city warehouse conversion in Surry Hills celebrates heritage architecture with a refined, contemporary twist. Madera Floors was engaged to deliver a bespoke flooring package that paired traditional craftsmanship with a bold industrial setting — combining solid timber herringbone parquetry with custom carpet applications to suit the unique geometry of the space, including three polished steel spiral staircases.

Scope of Work:

Installation of solid European Oak herringbone parquetry flooring to lounge, dining, kitchen, mezzanine library, and all bedrooms.
Full trowel-glue application over particleboard subfloor
Precision perimeter detailing with neat cuts and 10mm cork expansion joints for both function and finish
Supply and installation of wool carpet to three polished steel spiral staircases, including shaping, templating, and securing
Fabrication of custom circular rugs from the same carpet range, perimeter-stitched for a tailored, finished edge
