Project Overview

A bold and cohesive design vision came to life in this architecturally-led Randwick home. Madera Floors was commissioned by Lifestyle Building Design to deliver a full-scope timber solution that went beyond the floor — extending to floating stairs and overhead ceiling features. The result is a seamless application of Roasted Peat timber that connects zones through material continuity and refined craftsmanship.

Scope of Work:

Supply and install 128mm wide Roasted Peat timber flooring, glued and secret nailed over existing particleboard subfloor
Supply and install cork expansion strips at tiled thresholds to accommodate natural movement
Sanding and polishing with one coat of penetrating sealer, followed by two coats of commercial-grade Bona Traffic water-based finish
Fabrication and installation of custom box treads for a sculptural floating staircase
Installation of Roasted Peat cladding to landing ceilings for a bold architectural feature and seamless vertical extension of the timber finish
