Project Overview

Croydon House underwent a full flooring transformation, with Madera Floors supplying and installing solid Spotted Gum timber throughout the entire residence. This project involved both a new concrete extension and the existing house, requiring careful preparation, substrate levelling, and precision installation. The result is a cohesive, richly textured floor that enhances the warmth and natural beauty of the home.

Scope of Work:

Extension (Concrete Subfloor)
Supply and install builder’s plastic moisture barrier
Lay and screw-fix 19mm plywood substrate to concrete slab
Supply and install solid 80mm Spotted Gum
flooring, secret nailed and glued over plywood
Existing House
Rough sand existing timber subfloor
Supply and install new solid Spotted Gum
flooring throughout to match extension
All flooring secret nailed for a clean, uninterrupted surface
Full sand and polish of the entire installation
Finish
Application of Bona Traffic, a commercial-grade water-based coating for durability and clarity
